Description
JA Success Skills program, targeted to students in grades 8 to 10 will identify and build a toolkit of transferable skills that will enable youth to increase resilience and improve outcomes through challenging situations,
Details:
The volunteer(s) will learn familiarize themselves with the 5-lesson JA Success Skills program and facilitate the workshops with a class (or more than 1 class if desired) following an onboarding and orientation with our JA staff.
The 5 interactive classroom lessons are typically delivered over 4 (60-70 min.) periods-resulting in 4 volunteer visits to the same class). Dates for in-class workshop facilitation will be determined based on the volunteers’ availability as well as the school/class/teacher's availability.
All resources including slides, student portfolios/workbooks, activities and content will be supplied by JA.
