HOW IT WORKS:
1. BROWSE: You can filter volunteer opportunities based on community interest or by subject area relating to your skills and experience. Possible skill sets and experience that may be needed by non-profits include:
Arts, crafts, music and photography
Communications and marketing
Health and wellbeing
Outdoor activities (gardening and landscaping)
Research and writing
Special events and festivals
Translation and interpretation
3. HAVE AN IMPACT: If you and the organization both decide it’s a good fit, you will make a difference by helping a local non-profit in need of your skills and experience!
4. DIDN’T SEE ANYTHING TODAY? Subscribe to email alerts for your preferred search criteria. You will be notified by email when a volunteer opportunity is posted that matches your search criteria.
5. FEEDBACK: Impact Hours would love to receive feedback to improve the site, as well as volunteering testimonials. Please send along to firstname.lastname@example.org.
“Volunteering with JA Ottawa placed me in local high schools to share my entrepreneurial experience with the new generation. What I didn’t expect was how fulfilling my time has been. They’ve helped me to remember what being younger and free to make choices means. It’s enriched my life in ways I can’t even describe.”
